Flannels, Mixtapes, and Zen is an online publication that’s equal parts magazine and journal.

For the magazine part, we are sharing Gen X deep dives, revisiting the culture that shaped this generation, events, music, and films.

We are also conducting feature interviews with Gen Xers to highlight the diversity of this complex generation's accomplishments.

For the journal part, I am chronicling the journey of moving with my family to Cuernavaca, Mexico, while transitioning into a Digital Nomad lifestyle.

I am also working on my memoir and sharing colorful vignettes.

I had an interesting upbringing, moving from the idyllic city of an eternal spring to the chaotic Tijuana/San Diego region.

Think The Wonder Years, but with a lot more bullying.
